UPES Work
GUS Global, the company behind UPES, brought me and a friend on for a run of projects across a couple of semesters, everything from welcoming the incoming batch to sending off the graduating one. It ended up covering posters, AR filters, and event collateral for an AI summit, a real range for a student gig.
[Problem]
University design work usually defaults to generic, safe, forgettable. The Week Zero posters needed to do something trickier: announce a workshop without giving away what actually happens in it, enough curiosity to pull first-years in, not so much information that there's no reason to show up. The Snapchat lenses needed to work across seven different schools while each one still feeling like its own thing, not a template with a logo swapped out. And the advisory board and AI summit material needed to carry real weight without turning corporate.
[Solution]
For Week Zero, I designed the posters used as billboards and general advertising, covering both the workshops and the mentors running them, tuned to hold back just enough. For the AR side, this was my first real hands-on exposure to building in Lens Studio, and I ended up making nine filters total: three core designs, one of which had six variations, one per school, so each school got something that felt built for them specifically. For the AI summit, I made posters for the seminar series featuring known names in the AI industry.
